Pope Joan vs Mephisto

The old legends did not die. They are simply waiting for the moment to return, when reason and the unknown meet in a dark journey to the limits of human consciousness. A philosophical thriller, inspired by the great legends that were born and shaped in the ideological universe of Protestant Europe and the Reformation. Myths, fears and archetypal questions as they are reinterpreted in the film for the modern world. With a deep dive into the dark depths of the human mind, the film poses the most crucial questions about human existence, faith, guilt, freedom and the limits of human nature. When these boundaries between good and evil, between reason and madness, between the human and the supernatural begin to collapse and take on threatening dimensions, in an increasingly disturbing modern reality.
